Alderwood Veterinary Clinic is located at 320 Browns Line, just south of Browns Line and Horner Ave. Free street parking is available on Browns Line.

RECEPTION

Our bright and open reception area features a couple personal touches: Artwork by Dr. Kate's dad, and a custom made desk that was designed and built by Dr. Heidi's sister.

EXAM ROOMS

Our 3 exam rooms were designed with patient comfort in mind, and includes a dedicated cats-only exam room. All 3 rooms have comfortable benches for you and your pet to sit on, non-slip rubber flooring, and fold-down tables to maximize floor space when needed. Special materials were used to improve the sound proofing of our exam rooms.

PRESCRIPTION VETERINARY DIETS

We carry a wide range of diets: Lifestyle specific diets and also prescription diets for pets with specific medical needs. Check out our online webstore for more selection, access to promotions, and home delivery.
We are also proud to offer recycling for Royal Canin food bags.

TREATMENT AREA

Our open concept outpatient treatment area features a glass-fronted dog run with non-slip flooring, cages, cubbies for our patients' belongings, in-house urinalysis machine, microscope, centrifuge, treatment table, and workspaces for our team.

PREP AREA

On our second floor, we have an open concept prep area, for preparing pets for procedures and surgeries. This area also includes cages and a glass-fronted dog run, so we can supervise pets easily in our space. We also have a small work space for our team, and a pack & prep area with an autoclave for sterilizing instruments.

SURGERY

Our bright and spacious surgery suite has been designed to have optimized air flow and ventilation, and its own climate control system. Oxygen concentrators are used to minimize the environmental impact of performing general anesthesia, though we also have back-up emergency oxygen tanks in case of a power failure.

CAT QUIET ROOM

We have a dedicated room for our cat patients, so they can feel more relaxed as they recover from surgery, away from dogs! A glass door allows us to keep an eye on our cat patients even when the door is closed. Feliway diffusers help to create a more relaxing environment.

1973 to 2024: GIULIA'S CLOTHING & GIFTS

320 Browns Line was formerly Giulia's Clothing & Gifts. Giulia was one of the original business owners of Alderwood, and former keeper of our current space from 1973 to 2024. We hope to carry on her legacy of having a community focused business in this space.
